Expertise

Success in the modern world is based on three points of reference: Art, Knowledge and Experience.

At DISI, we create synergies by skilfully combining leaders, academics and practitioners in our Expert Groups.

We maintain a wide range of interdisciplinary research specialisms, reinforced by the ethos of policy relevance, objectivity and accuracy. DISI builds four core pillars of expertise: The State, The Economy, Industry and 'The New Reality'.

DISI operates on a need-to-know basis. This means as a policy we do not reveal the full scope and coverage of our network in the public domain and only selectively publish the profiles of the members of the DISI Expert Groups and where such profiles are published the level of access is made with the express permission of individual members.

The appointed Executive Coordinators of each of the thirty plus DISI Expert Groups are public figures and their respective personal pages are visible through the DISI website. The individual Expert Group member's profiles may be (i) fully public (ii) published only to specifically identified users, or (iii) as the default, closed to just being accessible to the DISI internal community. The DISI members that elect not to have a fully public profile may optionally issue a profile access privilege to users on a need-to-know basis by sharing their unique 'Expert ID' with these selected users. The unrestricted public profiles are visible on the associated Expert Group web pages.

Inquiries from external sources relating to any of the 'closed' profiles will normally be formally answered by letter or by email after consultation with the member concerned.
